gardening...

We got stuff for the backyard today... finally! After stalling for a month and a half, I've decided to pursue what I've always wanted to do...plant stuff! My oh-so-hideously-looking boyfriend obviously doesn't have a green thumb...his cigarette tree (Pic 1) is still yet to pop up from it's sandy home so it's up to me *ehem!* to make his backyard a luscious green paradise. We haven't done anything yet today though; we'll start the "gardening" tomorrow. For now, please feast your eyes with our Bonsai tree (Pic 2) we call, "The funny looking old man by the rocks near the Bonsai tree". Tata!

connecting people..

Oh yeah, so we applied for a plan for me two weeks ago. I got a free phone with my plan.

It's a Pantech Slate (C350). It's a nice thin QWERTY phone. Good for sending messages. It's pretty nifty. But then again, I'm not into gadgets anyways :P I'd be happy with a phone I can use for calls and texts. I used it for a few days until my not-that-gorgeous-but-resourceful boyfriend got me a Blackberry Curve.

Blackberry Curve 8300 (not my phone)

The features include email, browser, camera, corporate data access, sms, mms, gps and all those crazy stuff for people on the go. It's like the shit right now, well...second to the Bold I think. Still, pretty good phone. And the BrickBreaker's got me hooked.

kitty!

I want a kitty! :)

I wish I can rent one for a day...

shiny new toy

Four weeks ago, J was in an accident which messed up his car pretty bad. After living with a rental car for the past few weeks, he finally bought a car last Thursday. A 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan.

It's a pre-owned car which we found at a Volvo car dealer center at Cerritos. I don't know anything about cars but I know this one is pretty nifty, it has moon roof and it's spacious too. He said it's a definite upgrade from his old Honda. I saw his old car when he took me with him at that salvage center to get his stuff from his old car and yeah, an upgrade, most definitely. :)

As excited as we are with finally having a car that is not rental, having to pay for a monthly fee for this car isn't as much fun. His old Honda was paid for, and this is an additional expense he wasn't expecting.

Still...a very nice car. :)

D vs. G

I'm not sure why I always type 'G' in place of 'D' on the word 'AND'. It's kinda odd.

good morning sunshine!

I'm not a morning person. Anybody who knows me knows that for a fact. They have never seen me smile, nor greet anyone "good morning!" before. And yet, cruel, cruel fate decided to play with me one more.

Yeah, I just got up. Woke up with my amazingly ugly guy beside me, who greeted me "good morning" with a smile on his face and morning booger in his eyes. Oh yeah, how attractive he is. I couldn't help but greet him back with a stupid big smile on my face.

And now, I'm slouched on this pimpin' black leather couch, watching Discovery's 'Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe' on a 52" Sony Bravia TV, typing away on this Dell laptop, all while waiting for my breakfast. Yep, my curiously not-so-good-looking man is making me a cheese-mushroom omelette and mushroom soup. All I really have to do is sit here, try to look pretty, and wait.

He spoils me so much. I'm not really complaining. :)

clueless and a little hungry

I'm writing this blog at 6:44am. It's really early. Nobody's up yet (at least as far as I know) and the garbage truck just finished collecting the trash. Sky's a bit on a grey side; I hope it won't rain because I don't think I can survive a cold weather today. I can hear the bird outside...nothing else aside from that. Yeah, it's waaaay too fucking early.

I seriously don't know what I'll write about. It wasn't my intention to start a blog. I just couldn't sleep and decided to visit my friends' blogs, to catch up and stuff. And then I thought, what if there's a way for me to tell them too what's been happening to me without calling them and/or bothering them while they're working? Hmmmm... And then I had a bright idea. Offline yahoo messages! Yeah, that would work. I mean, I get that a lot, how come I have not thought of maximizing the use of that feature before? Before I can get my genius plan into action though, I had this urge to create a blog account, because my friend's page looks so pretty and I want one like that. Before I knew it (which took me about 30-45 minutes), I have an account up. But I was in deep turmoil again. Which template?? Cruel, cruel life, why does it always have to give me challenges like that? So after another few more minutes, I've reached a decision (without causing a brain meltdown) to use this rather adorable template. Few more tweaks, removed some stuff, clicked on those links and stuff there, hit preview, and voila! I have this lovely blog page. So I leaned back, stared at my page for a bit. Lovely, I thought, smiling proudly. I was still congratulating myself for job well done when I came across this alien phrase "Post a blog". Oh my potatoes! What in heaven's name does that mean?? I hurriedly opened the Google search engine, my heart beating wildly, and typed 'define: blog' to which I got this Wiki result:

"A blog (a contraction of the term weblog) is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video."

I stared at my monitor for a very long time. Ingenious. Perfect. Now I get it. A smile formed on my lips. I know what to use now. I know how to keep my friends updated. In a flash, I opened my yahoo mail and started composing my email...
